Thank you for considering a donation to the Do Great Things Initiative. Your donation will help the students at Green Bay West High School to plan for their future, become college-ready and fund the cost of college. Please find more information on each donation option below.
Donate Option 1
The Do Great Things Initiative is a nonprofit organization and donations will be applied toward funding the efforts that go beyond what Green Bay West High School can provide for the students to become ready to apply to college. Funds will also be used to form scholarships that will be awarded to students to help fund the cost of college.
We appreciate any donations toward our efforts to ignite passion into the students to aspire toward further education beyond high school and to envision their future. Donations to the Do Great Things Initiative will help provide students and their families with all the tools necessary to be accepted into college.
These efforts include and are not limited to incoming Freshman summer session strengthening study habits, goal-setting and early career development, college and career fairs, financial aid information sessions, guest speakers, assistance with college application and essay writing, and college tours to a variety of schools.
In addition, the Initiative will grant selected students scholarship funds to help them close the financial gap that exists after all merit awards and financial aid has been applied to their cost of tuition. The Do Great Things Initiative is happy to work with any donors that would like to donate towards a specific type of scholarship award.
Donate Option 2
Donations to the Do Great Things Scholarships at Marquette University are funds that are donated directly to Marquette University and applied to the existing scholarships for Green Bay West High School students.
Every spring, two students will be awarded these scholarships. One scholarship is a full-ride award for four years and includes room and board for the student’s freshman and sophomore year. The other scholarship is a partial award that will help elevate the financial gap that exists after any state and federal aid and any merit-based scholarships are awarded.
Donations to this scholarship fund will increase the aid that can be given to the partial scholarship recipient. Our hope is that in time, Marquette can award more than two scholarships annually to Green Bay West High School students.
The Do Great Things Scholarships at Marquette University is annually awarded to two Green Bay West students who are accepted into the University and have financial need. The award recipients are chosen by the Admissions staff at Marquette University.
